Pre-Order 04/12/26: Graham Coxon The Spinning Top

After the punk riffs and power pop melodies of Happiness in Magazines and Love Travels At Illegal Speeds, Graham Coxon took a different path for 2009’s The Spinning Top. Teaching himself the intricate fingerpicking styles of his folk guitar heroes, he built a record with a bucolic atmosphere and a narrative arc spanning a wide range of moods.

Featuring contributions from Robyn Hitchcock, Martin Carthy and Pentangle bassist Danny Thompson, the album reflects Coxon’s love of Davy Graham, Bert Jansch and John Martyn.
