Dope Lemon Honey Bones

When Dope Lemon – the moniker of acclaimed Australian artist Angus Stone – released Honey Bones in 2016, it didn’t arrive with the noise of a blockbuster debut, it drifted in effortlessly, all hazy grooves and sun-faded introspection, and in doing so laid the foundation for something far more enduring. Over the past decade, the album has grown into a cult touchstone, defining a signature sound that fans have come to associate with escapism, nostalgia, and emotional ease. For listeners, Honey Bones has become more than a record, it’s a feeling they return to, a constant companion through road trips, long summers, and reflective moments. But just as importantly, it was the catalyst that transformed Dope Lemon from a side project into a fully realized creative force.
